I’ve been called many things during my short time here on Earth, but Psycho [crazy, insane, weird, strange] might just be my favorite.
Oh sure, there was a time when name calling got to me – hurt my feelings a bit. I mean, why did people think of me this way? Didn’t they SEE that there was a method to my madness?
Over the years, I learned more about people in general and the human condition – especially their conditioned response towards anyone or anything that is ‘different’ than what they perceive as ‘normal’.
And I’ve never been what anyone would consider normal.
As the world continues to lean more toward laziness, immorality, ‘thug life’, disrespect, ignorance, closed-mindedness, meanness, and general fucktard-ary, I’ve become more and MORE of a Psycho.
And I’m not the only one.
In fact, yesterday, my friend Christian Salafia of Transform Radio did a sweet little podcast on being ‘Effing Psycho‘.
He, too, has learned how to embrace his psychotic side!
Why don’t we mind and in fact ENCOURAGE being Psycho? Glad you asked!
Look, it takes absolutely NO effort to be a run of the mill sheep following a herd of mindless staff-carrying idiots off a cliff. I watch people do it every day.
What I DON’T see every day are people who embrace their own identity, work hard to make the world a better place and boldly stand up for things that empower other people. People who accept no disrespect. People who actively try to change the world and make it a better place.
Instead, most people are content to sit around whining about the world, their parents, their current, past and future circumstances, their lack of (insert irreverent physical product here), the fact that they don’t have a job or a car or …
Whine, Whine, Whine, Whine, Whine…..
This seems to be the ‘norm’.
Adults with blatant disregard towards other human beings, children who disrespect their parents, teachers and bully other children, an entire generation of people who only care about sex.
But, I’m Psycho? Thank GOD!
I’m psycho about a lot of things – my God, my children, my family, my business, my health. I will pursue with abandon anything that will help me improve my relationship or experience with them.
I’m psycho about telling the world how different life can be when you change your mindset and reprogram your brain from what the world has taught you that you should believe.
I’m psycho about helping other people live lives that they have always dreamed of through entrepreneurship instead of wasting their lives being a slave to make someone else rich.
What about you? What are YOU psycho about? Let me know in the comments!
